The IBM AI meetup #3 will take place in DigitYser, hosting some specialists to show you the (new) possibilities of powerAI.
Here is the agenda:
18:00 – 18:30 – Welcome
18:30 – Franz Bourlet (IBM) : PowerAI update – Since our last meetup, PowerAI has received a new name (now Watson Machine Learning Accelerator) and a whole bunch of new functionality (Docker support, cloud offerings, new frameworks, deeper integration with AI SW,…). This short update will tell you all about that.
18:45 – Fabian Michel (IBM) : Storage for AI – As organizations move from experimentation and prototypes to deploying AI in production, the first challenge is to embed AI into the existing data pipeline or build a
data pipeline that can leverage existing data repositories. IBM Spectrum Scale is an optimized file storage for HPC and AI workloads that can scale efficiently and provide the performance needed to keep the CPUs and GPUs busy.
19:15 – Stefan Van Den Borre (IBM) : Watson Studio presentation and live demo – Watson Studio accelerates the machine and deep learning workflows required to infuse AI into your business to drive innovation. It provides a suite of tools for data scientists, application developers and subject matter experts, allowing them to collaboratively connect to data, wrangle that data and use it to build, train and deploy models at scale.
In this session an overview of the capabilities of Watson Studio will be presented, followed by an end-to-end (i.e. from business problem to deployed model) demonstration of the machine learning workflow.
20:45 – Wrap Up and Close, followed by refreshments and catering
Our speakers :
Stefan has been active in data management for the biggest part of his carrier.
